glazed ceramics
2024-2026
Ceramics have become an expanding part of my practice, allowing recurring symbols and characters from my paintings to move into physical space. Across different series, I use ceramics to continue building a larger visual universe where motifs such as feathers, stars, creatures, ornaments, and mythological references reappear in new forms.
I’m interested in the tension between fragility and permanence within the material itself. Through the firing process, soft, emotional, or decorative imagery becomes fossilized, transformed into something that can feel playful, sacred, or relic-like at the same time. Rather than existing separately from my paintings, I see the ceramic works as extensions of them, carrying the same narratives and atmospheres into sculptural form.
